I am imaging myself doing curls to drink coffee.
Yes. I found this device to be pretty worthless. because of this. Even at the lowest setting is slowly steams the coffee and burns it down quite a bit which totally ruins the flavor. I ended up with one of the warmers with a lid and find it far more useful.
Just for context, the mug is supposed to be smart and it does have an app, it even has a timer. At least for me, it makes sense to have a simple schedule feature, so I can turn off the mug to save power, for example when I get into a meeting where don't have time to sip; and turn back on at a certain time, like after my meeting.
It is a somewhat niche product for sure.
Even when it did work, the battery lasts maybe 1 to 1.5 hours at max temp. The additional cost list is essentially required if you want to use this mug anywhere away from the charging coaster.
One thing I learned is that if you put sugar in your coffee and don't stir it, the app will say the mug is empty and not heat. Make sure you stir!

I rarely need to use the app but it works when I do. It can be slow to connect but it eventually does. I've had my mug for about a year and I've only had to re-pair when I got a new phone. I just leave my temp set around 136 and never change it.
You can find one for $5-10 and they last a year or more before the vacuum stops working.
