I personally prefer my gamesir since I can do much more than the portal can. There are third-party apps like pxplay that work so much better than the official app for remote play. You'll find it's a highly debated topic here as there are plenty of diehard fans of the portal. I just preferred having more utility.

Requires subscription to use overlay software Touchsync to use with PUBG. Even then it's horrible

Sure did. First thing. Deal is any case that has more than a slight bump out around the camera cluster wont fit. So if you use a case that actually provides protection of the camera lenses thats where the problem exists.

Interesting? Even with the removal of the bumpers that it comes with? I have a 16 Pro Max and it works just fine with my case. I also use my phone with the Insta360 Flow Pro and use their MagSafe attachment and it still fits. It just doesn't fit with a phone wallet of about 2-3 cards or more for me.

+1, I feel like that the diehard portal fans are in denial that they can get the same thing with their smartphone / tablet, a Bluetooth controller or something like backbone/gamesir, and an app (PS remote play or pxplay)

I'll say it until the cows come home, the PS portal was such a waste of R&D. Thinking about it, it makes the razer tablet they made a decent buy... At least it can do more than one thing

I will say the DualShock capability of the Portal is quite useful...but Sony just released console free game streaming for the Portal. Meaning you don't need a PS5, just a subscription and you can stream games direct to portal with decent performance...that said...I have a BackBone and it kicks ass. Love this thing.

I own two of these and purposely bought the black one for look, then come to find out you CANNOT play PSN or PSN remote on it which is total crap, you have to have the white one.
