lol it will open for literally one minute on Jan 30th before all the bots buy/preorder everything and then will close again.

None of this stuff will be available to regular SDers for months and likely longer.

Youre almost right. However Nvidia has improved orders, and so long as you're in queue within the first few minutes (as opposed to seconds) you'll likely get it. The big question, will they artificially limit supply? There is no reason for it to go OOS , but companies who can, sure 'learned' a lot during COVID.

There aren't any games coming out this year that would truly benefit from this graphics card. Moreover, GTA 6 isn't even scheduled for release until at least holiday 2026/Early 2027 for PC. I will be patient and wait to purchase my 5090.

How long after MSI, Asus or other brands selling this 5090? Will they sell higher price than this?

OP I see your post count but thinking this thread will have insightful comments is kind of hilarious, not to mention nobody will get one for months.

Planning to build a SFF around May, but leaning towards the 5080 as lower psu requirements

If you waited on the 4090 you saved nothing.

Exactly most likely paid more. 4090 MSRP $1600 psssft most never found one, if you are lucky you MIGHT find a partner board for $1800-$1900. Likely same future for 5090 cards. Most should expect to pay $2200 or more, if they can even get one.

You spend $80 on a game and then you get tempted to spend another 2k for a graphics card so the game looks good and plays well.

If you bought 4090 for games, you didn't get much better experience(since every game is designed around console performance). Best picture is probably horizon forbidden west on PS5 until recently when the game is released on pc.
You can argue that the 4090 experience is free if you got the card at msrp. Counter argument can be made that you missed the profit of selling it for different usage, thus you paid $$$ for the experience even if the gpu holds its price.
