On many in store receipts they offer BOGO sandwiches after doing a survey.
Buy a drink. Do the survey. Get 2 burgers. 👍

Can you tell me what the minimum wage was when they had the $1 menu. You would essentially be getting it at that price if the minimum wage went up and the price went up proportionally.

This brunch hour I went to redeem my Smokeshack deal from Shake Shack and then I thought to myself, why not stop by McDonald's and redeem an any size fry deal with purchase of a drink? So I opened up the deal and found that one of the fry size options was on the McValue menu.

My question now is, if one gets something off the McValue menu and uses it under a deal, does that not become a slick deal?

I essentially did not pay for the small fry ($2.29), got it for free and purchased a large Sprite for $1.39 (all sizes are $1.39).

You want to pay less, McDonald's wants to pay their CEO more so that he/she can find ways to make McDonald's, as a brand, appeal to you and I, by offering deals to make the food cheaper.

They must not want to appeal to the consumer enough with these weak "deals"

Fun fact: If you buy a hamburger and a large size drink together, today, it is cheaper than it was when McDonald's first opened, proportioned to each of the minimum wages during their respective times. The fries, no matter what size, will break you.

Aside from price increase I wonder how the quality has changed.

Well, for the fries, they do not use lard anymore.

Sizes shrunk, quality not the same, prices pumped. Im not buying the 'proportionately' claim.

Even if prices were pumped and sizes shrunk, but it is still cheaper than what you would have bought in the 1950s based on wage; I would not think it to be that big of a deal.
Not only that, it is not like you are getting it at the EXACT proportional prices as with the increase factor of the minimum wages. So really, you are getting it CHEAPER than the exact prices the items were at on the past minimum wage.

There is subjectivity on quality and sizes. Were you alive then? Do you think the quality went down from the first ever item you had eaten or drunk at McDonald's during the younger years of your life time? If so, then you have a valid point exclusive to you.
