Sam's Club has the 65" non-Q led model for $328. I went that route since both have full array backlighting. I could not see much difference when viewing picture. Also, Sam's includes a three-year warranty along with six months of AMC plus and Starz servcie plus three months of Apple TV service.

For those who have it, it is the same price as Sam's Club, but it comes with a 3-year warranty and 6 months of Starz and AMC+.

Be prepared to see a lot more of them since Walmart is buying them: https://www.cnbc.com/2024/02/27/f...vizio.html

Can you confirm if that model is simply direct lit and not edge lit? They use language that seems to try and trick the consumer into thinking they're FALD when they aren't. I'd love to see FALD on TVs this cheap, as well as a 120Hz display standard, but I know we're years off from anything like that.

You can get a Hisense or TCL with similar specs cheaper.

Vizio's quality has dropped so massively over the last 5+ years. From their TVs to their sound systems, they have so many issues. This isn't the Vizio from the earlier days, where you would get a lot of bang for your buck, and you could have a TV of theirs last you 10 years. These days, you get what you pay for with them. We'll see if Walmart can turn them around, but as it stands, I don't think I will ever buy another Vizio product again. Granted I have a C2 OLED, so I have no reason to buy any TV of theirs, but I would also never again buy a sound system from them. I've had two of their 5.1.1 systems that had connection issues, and then I upgraded to a 5.1.4 Atmos system, that also had a ton of connectivity problems. Multiple friends have Vizio TVs and soundbars with issues. I bought a TV for a friend 2 or 3 years ago, and the picture kept going out within the first 2 weeks, so she exchanged it for another of the same TV and it had the exact same issue. Other friends have had their picture go out, or their soundbars stop connecting.

It is full array local dimming. Not edge or direct lit.

Ratings.com has reviewed this and has very low scoring compared to TLC and Hisense QLED low budget series. 55 Inch goes for $269.

Don't buy any TVs with 200-300 max nits brightness. Just dull dim colors especially with any amount of sunlight in the room. All the TVs in my home are 800-1000 nits 1 Samsung 55" and 2 TCL 65" & 55" all have been working for 6-8 years consistently so far with two kids . They work great in bright rooms and the colors really pop. You also want as many dimming areas as possible for realistic lighting during movies and such.

Sounds like their tech has made a quantum leap since you last did.
