The weight on your head, OP Headlamp uses a battery that's half the size of 18650. So it's a tradeoff for runtime vs comfort. Some might not need the extra runtime and prefer lighter weight

I use the Energizer x1000 almost daily (I get free CR123 batteries at work). It's a solid light but I wish it was a bit lighter.
Bought two of the Sofirns for free shipping. Hopefully they become my new daily.

Great tip on a great looking light. I almost pulled the trigger but it's micro USB, not USB C charging. Probably not a big deal for most people, but I'm tired of having 5 different types of charging cables, trying to move everything over the USB C as it seems like it's likely to stick around for a while.

I usually don't have it on long enough at any given time that it bothers me at all. These other headlamps I have tend to break because they are plastic housing. They always break at weaker areas like a hinge too and that is a major PITA to try to mend, even using Epoxy. I have a couple Husky brand that are cool because the lamp mounts in front and the battery mounts to the back of your head. But, again those use pesky AAA's.

Has anyone use this model for running? I have a few different head lamps that I use for either working or running, but was looking for a nice light one for running.

I own two of these Sofirn HS10 (different color temperatures) and have run in one it a few times. It's fine, but despite being small it has enough weight to bounce a bit since it's a simple around-the-head band without a stabilizer going over the top.

Sorry can say nothing firsthand. I have not even switched over as yet. My use is mostly at at work. Need light only on occasion when I run into dark or unlighted areas in customers homes Mid level on this should probably give me a couple weeks at that pace.

From the reviews I have seen plenty are using it for dog walking and happy with it. I assume those walks may be lon much longer than I will need it to run.

May be able to get it cheaper on aliexpress. When you say you want red light this thing will put it out. so bright you can hike with the red and you get the bonus that is also has white LED. Big thing that those that need night vision mention is that you do not have to step through white mode and ruin your night vision to get to red. Interface lets you jump right to red.
