I purchased 2 when they were $99, and although locked for 1 year they've been working flawlessly for several months now on Tello using MKSD Ultra V5.6

For those having trouble porting in from TracFone, Straight Talk, or Total Wireless, here are the steps you need to take at the porting part. This is based on my experience. I have successfully completed port-ins from these sites after working out this guide. The guide below is taken from Total Wireless port into Metro. It should be the same for Straight Talk and other TracFone subsidiaries including TracFone.

Port Info Needed:
Most can be found here
https://www.totalwireless.com .. my-account.. manage-lines
Line: Phone number
Account: Phone IMEI (Text Four to 611611 to confirm)
Zip code: Your zip code
PIN: Text NTP to 611611 to generate your PIN.

----------------------
At the Porting part.
1. Enter the port info.
2. Metro contacts Total Wireless. (See picture 1)
3. Metro throws an error even if you entered everything correctly. (See picture 2)
4. The error is because Total Wireless is contacting the line owner to warn them about the port. (See picture 3)
5. Click on Correct errors.
6. Re-enter everything again and make sure everything is correct.
7. Metro throws another error. The same one as seen in Picture 2.
8. This is a bug on Metro site.
9. Click on the X at the top right to close that error message.
10. Metro proceeds to completing the order.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Once you clicked on submitting the order to Metro, your Total/ST/Tracfone line is immediately inactivated on their respective site, not allowing you to port that line any further even if Metro denied your order asking you to contact them or go to their store for completing the order. In order words, you cannot reverse the porting at Total/ST/Tracfone. I spent 2 hours with Total and it was going nowhere.

Yes it will be unlocked irrespective of its turned on or off or it being in any other country.Only requirement, it was activated earlier when you purchased it.
When I ordered, I put port out info (acc#, PIN) of my Infimobile number (Verizon network). The order went thru and Metro shipped the phone, charged my credit card $125 + taxes. The port out info is valid for 7 days per Infomobile. When I receive the phone if I activate but cannot port in the number because the info is no more valid , will Metro charge me the full price of the phone? I have planned the get the phone, port in the number then port out after a few day, use the phone for trade in only.

After getting my fifth iPhone 13, I'm finally done. Bittersweet but glad it's over and the hassle this caused. Just wanted to share some insights into errors to help others now. There are many issues that can cause an order to not go through. Issue 1, porting does not goes through, and this is obvious if after you enter in your payment info and the next porting page loads within seconds. This means port didn't work. Port typically takes at least a minute so if it's short, it means port didn't go through and you can expect a "whoops we couldn't complete your order". Issue 2, order does not go through because if you're porting in new number to get a free phone, there needs to be an IMEI tied to the order and if there's high order volume, your order won't get an IMEI and order won't go through. Issue 3, identity verification sometimes thinks it's a fake person if you use a different address that is too different or it flags as fraud, gives error of "call us to make your order". Issue 4, timing. At certain times of the day, for me that's 6am-9am EST, no orders have ever gone through, and certain times of day where there's less traffic gives higher chance of order completing. Last points, make sure to use different name, number, email, and address. Seriously the site and their order process is abysmal and expect to have Metro porting department on your speed dial. Orders are a hit or miss and it's like playing a scratch off lottery haha

Both things are different.
You can login into your account and activate it. To unlock see if MKSD card works in India?

Do online activation from order status page -- that should be enough to start the 1yr unlock clock and finish pending number port

Received and activated my 4th iphone 13 today (all 4 are under one account). I have 14 days left in my plan, so plenty of time to order the 5th (final) one, lol.

BTW, I just received a notice, the 4th line is FREE. Is that true?

All same account and like below post response, I activate once I get shipping confirmation and use order number to activate online to have the "add a line" option come back.

Congratulations on your achievement and thanks for the tips!

I was able to achieve that last year but not this time - Metro is blocking a lot of stuff on my end and I got stuck on the 4th. Metro mistakenly gave me some credit. After porting out the 2nd and 3rd lines, my balance is $0, meaning I can use the existing line for an extra month. I initially tried to port them out to US Mobile (for free), but failed for some unknown reasons. So I transferred them to two newly created Visible lines. I tried them again on Metro - it recognizes them as from Verizon, but doesn't give me the discounted price! Looks like the numbers are still in Metro's database. My first line was originally a Tablet line on Metro and I also ported it out to Visible. Metro accepted it with the discount.

Anyone here with experience adding additional lines AFTER porting out some?

Given up on adding another line, i keep getting " not eligible error" despite calling CSR and them trying to figure out. Last one suggested to create a new account, but then again will not reflect the $35 plan.

Never had I thought to try and port out a line to free up the account to add new lines. Maybe I'll do it next year. Already helped all family members get 4-5 new iPhone 12s and 13s and I'm tired from all the hassle this has been.

Id say to just port the numbers out to textnow and create new visible number/account so metro doesn't have record of the number before
