Every company seems to be slapping "AI" in their product names. This seemed fairly overpriced at $1400, and is a bit more sane at $1200, but I probably wouldn't even consider this unless it was closer to $1000 or slightly less.
It has a nice, high-res OLED screen and excellent processor (Zen5 architecture with the Ryzen 9 AI 365) going for it. It's x86 instead of ARM (like the Snapdragon Windows Copilot+ PCs) which is better for versatility and program compatibility. I could see the NPU (neural processing unit) helping with some AI-related tasks, maybe certain college students or engineers. The 32 GB DDR5 is good (and a must have at this price) since it's not upgradeable. The power-efficiency suggests this laptop may have potential for good battery life, but I haven't seen any reviews, so I just don't know for sure. That would be a BIG question for me if I were looking to buy, and my whole purchase would probably hinge on that statistic.
Unfortunately, there is no dedicated GPU, just an integrated GPU, so this probably isn't for people who are into gaming. Yes, it has a 16" screen, but 1.9 kg (4.2 lbs) is not ultra-light, and if you travel a lot this could easily be a drawback.
This product seems to do everything... reasonably okay/well (jack of all trades?) but the price point is a little high. If you're a gamer, better off to get a gaming laptop with dedicated graphics card than can outperform this. If you're mainly doing web-browsing, get a really light, super power-efficient ultrabook laptop (maybe a Snapdragon Windows ARM laptop, or x86 with lower power) that's cheaper, lighter, and has great battery life. Amazing deals can be had for 30-50% off of this price point.
