Should note that August is hot and is also typhoon season. So take that in mind when booking.

ANA is $602 as well. I personally prefer ANA over Japan Airlines.

Yeah, Osaka during that timeframe has the potential to be miserable...think 100+ deg w/ 100% humidity. If you're just looking to get onto the island, consider using this and bouncing immediately up to Tokyo (or even Hokkaido) for a pleasant time.

That said, if you wanna hit up Kyoto, the Ghibli Park, and/or Universal Studios (and don't mind sweating)...this is a great price for the trip

I wish there were better deals from the South. I can drive to Atlanta but sadly it's pretty much $1100 minimum to get to Atlanta. But it's still not worth trying to get over the LAX and fly from there unless.

Great deal regardless! I was in Japan for almost 3 months in Oct/Nov/Dec of 2023 and it was the greatest thing I've ever done. I HIGHLY recommend you go sometime in those months so this deal is perfect. No, you don't get cherry blossoms or snow. But you get wonderful temperatures(especially in later November) and beautiful fall foliage.

Edit: Alright I think I lied. I just checked from my local airport and there's multiple flights to Japan for $750, much cheaper than Atlanta even though they all stop at Atlanta. Maybe I'll end up back there this year!

I highly recommend going in October to November for japan. I was out in Tokyo area last November and the weather was very nice, mid 60s to mid 70's. It only rained once during a 12 day trip. Kansai area should be the same weather as the weather doesn't drastically change unless you go to Hokaido region or Okinawa.

Osaka has a great lap ear cleaning place in Umeda. You rest your head on a technician's lap and she cleans your ears. Lovely and very healing experience.
