This isn't accurate. Guangzhou is the 4th largest steel producer in China. That is where GISE is located - Guangzhou Iron & Steel Enterprises Group

I was interested until I looked at the company profile.

The seller is located in Guangzhou, which isn't known for making metal goods.

Beyond that, the seller also sells dressers, lamps , and other furniture, which is a big no-no for the quality of the product .

I'll pass on the risk

Similar deal, glass is always safe and I have lots of anchor products: https://www.walmart.com/ip/564906...18b07aa137

Poor metals can be unsafe for used with food due to leaching. Most of these Walmart/Amazon 3rd party suppliers don't go through any testing like Ikea would.

I bought it before I posted the deal. If it's not good, I'll just return it to Walmart. Smilie

This can be returned to Walmart B&M within 90 days.
I don't see any risk in buying this.

The only issue is that free shipping requires $35 minimum.

Guangzhou is most known for their textiles. There's garment shops everywhere . There's also a pyramid of middle man sellers in the area as well which this company looks like.

Anyone branding kitchen utensils and bedroom dressers at the same time should set off alarms.
They produce all kinds of goods there. It's also one of the most populated cities in China.

It's a stainless steel bowl. Very simple. Not sure why all the discussion about where it's made.

Is it stainless steel?

Is it a bowl?

This isn't rocket science or some complex product.

EDIT: Sticking to my main facts I asked, reading reviews there is definitely a question about the "stainless steel" material. Some noting weird coating, others noting smell, others noting not believing this is actual stainless steel. That is concerning.

At the very least, these will be used as puke bowls in the house.

Buy 304, 316, 18/8 or 18/10 stainless from a reputable company. Everything else is a gamble.

keep in mind that there are different grades of stainless steel. cheaper ones will rust. so, your best bet would be to handwash and dry or if you do run it in the dishwasher to hand dry asap.
