I bought 3 for my family and myself in the past. Great backpack for travel, fits a carryons worth in a personal item.
Only negative I found, no waterbottle holder or dedicated laptop pocket

Check your "favorite" cheap airline. The one we just flew and hated has personal item dimensions of 17 x 13 x 6

Don't believe all the promoted posts on here. The front and sides material is extremely thin frail and crappy.
Correct. You need to do your own research. Some items on SD are paid by sellers

I bought this bag two years ago and I love it. I certainly haven't noticed any quality issues.

Which one has those dimensions for personal items? Frontier? Spirit?

It is smaller than it appears on the pics. Not as roomy.

I thought carry on bag has a 7kg weight limit...you might be able to carry 10+kg but whatever 7+kg. The flight company is going to make you check it in.

I am just afraid of what I heard from my friend who worked for one of the major airlines, that as far as luggage and personal items are concerned, the airlines in 2025 will be bringing lots of shitty policies to get more money from the customers, they already make millions in extra luggage fees and what not.
Especially the shitty budget airlines like Spirit, Frontier will not allow this, I believe, I hardly travel with these crappy airlines no offense to anyone, but, I mostly travel with family and I have to take at least 2 hand carry for kids stuff and all. So overall whatever you save in ticket price you pay more if you want to bring a hand carry or full bag.

Yes, you can. I have the same exact bag and I've done it on domestic and international flights

Photos make this look way more rigid than it is. It's pretty squishy material but works well for what it is and the price.

In one video, a reviewer showed you can put laptop in a pocket that is outside in the back of the bag and would be facing your back when worn

I've noticed this happens quite often with these no-name brand Chinese listings on SD. They lure you in with an initial low price, and as the listing starts gaining traffic from SD, they gradually increase the price in small increments that still seem acceptable. It's a clever marketing tactic to drive more traffic to their items, likely in collaboration with SD.

I've purchased and returned this deal in the past. The quality is very flimsy and cheaply made in comparison to Amazon's brand 40L carryon bag that has a much more solid, sturdy feel to it. If you don't care, buy the cheaper option. In the end, it turned out, I did care about the quality and didn't want to be an extreme cheapskate my whole life.
I know I'm late to this thread, but do you have a link for this "Amazon's brand 40L carryon bag" you're talking about?
