iPhone 14 was a fake 'upgrade'. Same as 13, same chip, same design, with different colors and a couple of software features like Satellite messaging and Car Crash detection. And plastic tray instead of SIM card slot for USA. Only real change was extra 2GB RAM in 14. I suppose that is being reflected in just a $50 difference from 13 now on Metro.
Had no idea iphone 14 has 6GB RAM vs iPhone 13 4GB RAM. That's a huge upgrade.
Also, Satelite Messaging, is gold. I do so much hiking and skiing.

It still works I just ported a Visible number into Metro within the last couple of days. I initiated the port and activated the Metro phone while it was still en route with UPS, then my Visible number was good to go with Metro when I unboxed and turned it on and did the setup.

And FML I ordered the iPhone 13 for $99, 5 days ago, before Metro dropped the price and added the 14 for $99. Oh well.
Same here. Sigh.

I know it, but we are talking about a US deal.

It's a good deal if you are going to use metro for a year or use it for trade-in (current trade-in value is $250 at BB and $300 at Apple). But I wouldn't put this in a drawer and wait a year to use it. It's a long time and new deals will show up.

same question i asked and none responded.
normally we cannot trade in any phone if the phone is contract obligations like monthly payments etc..
this metro phone is prepaid and after one month the service will be stopped but we dont have contract obligation... yes..it will be locked state from network perspective... my assumption is, the phone should be able to trade in as "locked to metro" state
but i want to see other opinion who might have more experience in these situations

Would it be possible to get this phone, use it on Metro for a month or so then use it on another T-Mobile MNVO (mint or us mobile)?

Even 3rd world countries such as Nigeria, Vietnam support esim. LOL...

https://www.mtn.ng/sim/esim/
Don't know if you've been to these countries. Most people in poor countries buy SIM cards from vendors off the streets, not from official stores which are sporadically spread out through a city. It makes sense for them because eSIM only devices are very rare in those countries. Unless you buy a travel eSIM before you go, better to bring a pSIM device if traveling overseas, especially to developing countries.

There's a reason why non-US iPhones still have a pSIM slot.
