I have the 1080p version and agree that the speakers are meh but my only frustration with it is that it doesn't have an aux port/optical audio/etc.

Here is a trick you can plug a USB DAC into these monitors and then use it as an auxiliary out

I've been very happy with my 32" M70B 4K UHD, I use it in portrait mode with my MacBook and it's been great. EDU sale for $161.99

It was a little large, but was nice enough that I did pick up a 27" M70C Smart Monitor 4K from another EDU sale ($199.18) and that seemed nice too, but I never got around to swapping it with the 32". I'm currently getting snowed in, maybe that's my weekend project...

Can anyone comment on the quality of the camera? Doesn't need to be film quality, but I'd be using this for my work from home setup, so I want it to be decent.

Also, would this be a good screen for amateur photo editing? The rtings review [rtings.com]seems decent, but I don't know how that translate into real world use vs other screens in the price range. The only red flag I see in poor color accuracy pre-calibration. But if that can be corrected by calibration, is it an issue?

Lack of aux audio out seems like a non-issue IMO. Even if it had it, I'd still prefer to use an inexpensive USB DAC, or speaker with USB input. I can only imagine the aux out on most monitors use the cheapest, lowest quality DACs out there.

Use it for the same purpose but the 32 inch one has 2 HDMI ports and also bluetooth so can use wireless headphones for better sound (not sure if the current deal has bluetooth but assume it does).

27 inch also has Bluetooth capability. No issue connecting head phones, controllers. Also good thing with these samsing tv and monitor can directly download and use xbox gamepass app and stream game pass ultimate games. no need for console

For this price you can't go wrong. Keep this mind I bought previous version of this monitor in 32", color calibration was so bad I returned it after using for a day or two.
