Why would you thumb down a deal that clearly says YMMV? Such behavior discourages others from posting items that may be available for some and not for others. Unless of course, you feel $1,999 isn't a good price for a $5,499 item, for those that can find it.

Bought 5 of them for my business all 5 broken with 6 months and no repair shop local that works on them which a waste of money I ended up buying Toro z turn replacements that have good customer service

It's slick cause of the price compared to what it normally sells for, not because of how it compares in your mind to another product

Seems like they know something we don't. I've got family in multiple states/regions checking this out with different results. Some have no sale price at all and just a few available Others have a lot with no sale prices. Others have a considerable number in the region and this huge discount…missing batteries and chargers are an issue with every store I've gone to and spoken to so far. But what I really didn't expect was to get a call from a assistant store manager asking if by any chance I wanted to buy MORE because the district manager said they need to get rid of them asap and before a certain date. Makes me wonder if these were all manufactured a while back and warranty issues will be dealt with in a "sorry these are no longer made or available, all we can do is offer you a discount on this $400 EGO blower" or somethingI have no idea, don't get me wrong, just find this very interesting
Warranty starts when you buy it. Don't lose your mind overthinking it.

I was in the store, was looking at their computer, this discount good until April 30, it said over 100 was bought last week.
Yea it showed may 1 for us but same difference. Which begs the question. Surely they aren't going to be restocking these at these prices are they? I assume those 100 were sold at the reduced pricing not at the original, crazy to think they sold that many, wonder if their margins are just that high or they're taking a loss on each one

I have some old ego stuff and I am really curious what people are actually paying for these batteries on Amazon/ebay/craigslist at this point given the missing batteries.

Warranty starts when you buy it yes, I didn't say anything about the warranty start date, I was wondering how they're going to handle warranty issues once they're no longer made or available etc and was saying maybe the low price is indicative of a lack of availability of parts or whatever man I don't know

I worked retail for ages in a Lowe's type of store and have seen some crazy situations, so I am just naturally curious

If it sounds like I'm trashing who or the mower I'm not, I'm just needing out and chatting. Only people I'd outright discourage from purchasing this are commercial users that really need professional OPE that can easily handle those conditions and need many hours a day, every day reliability.

Recent reviews are scary. I'd recommend only buying this if you can see it in the store. Lot of deliveries of units that were stored outside.
That reinforces my instinct mentioned previously. Only accept not yet assembled and still in crate units, especially for delivery if you're not there to see it in store. Obv many won't have an option. But if there's a handful available, it's worth considering not checking the assembly box

This won't be restocking, the new model with a steering wheel is out, assuming they are taking a loss on it, did they ever sold one at full retail? They have been sitting there for several years guy at Lowes told me.

That was my question too. What's the typical price these are listed at or regularly "on sale" for?

that is 1000 more on my screen. Why is everyone worried about the batteries? if they suck at year #2 or #3 or #4 or #5 they get replaced.. I'd think this was a positive - and at year 4.5 I'd be measuring them to see if I could get them replaced under warranty.. I wonder how much gas and oil a mower of the same size but gas uses in 5 years.

Wonder if it's worth getting the lowest protection plan with them already having a three and five year warranty on them. Adding the additional 3 years I'm not sure if it'll be worth it or not

Are the batteries alone worth the price or are they regularly listed at a price that high? I used to work retail so I know for example there's entire sections and products where they expect to not sell anything all year round, short of a few emergency purchases and such, the margins on which fund the bonus & commission for the year, and aside from that they maintain low inventory and stock then only for Black Friday and Christmas etc at which time they're "for sale" for 4 straight months at 40-60% offI just don't trust pricing these days and the tool I used to use to check eBay sales pricing has been made subscription only. In other words, do you know what ppl actually regularly pay for these batteries and that mower? Unrelated but companies are testing (and some have already implemented) using cameras to scan the face, age, clothing, race, etc and run all that data through an algorithm that determines in real time what you're willing to pay, and then the digital e-Ink price tag display is updated just for you with the maximum price they have determined you are likely to pay. If you're frequenting a store that is using or beta testing these programs…try to find another store.
I think around $300/each for the batteries is a good price on eBay right now, and that about the minimum Id say they are worth, but I would pay more than that to buy from Lowes vs random seller on eBay. $200 more? No, but maybe up to $400?

Thank you OP. Found the last piece in CT, a display piece. Paid and they are delivering to home. Mine is having one key only. Any idea if this vehicle comes with 2 keys or 1 key ?

Super skeptical about the battery life reviews. I think these are great ideas but seems like the tech hasn't fully caught up to the idea yet. This is at least the third time I've seen bottom out clearance deals of electric zero turns on SD. With that being said and I was in the market for a mower, I'd take the gamble on this vs paying 1200-1600 for a gasser.
How about $2000 for any gasser on Lowe's....none lower
