I was scheduled for my mower to be delivered today, but on Saturday my delivery date was pushed a day to tomorrow (Tuesday). My phone rang this morning and upon seeing that Lowes was calling my heart sank. The person who unpacked the crate and assembled the mower told me that his manager told him to call me. He said that the mower had been stored outside and that there were issues with it and that his manager wanted me to come to the store to inspect it to see if I still wanted it. I went to the store and other than a very small amount of surface rust on some bare metal, which mostly wiped off with my finger, the grips on the handles were in bad shape. It looked like some sort of rodent chewed on the padding. The rest of the mower looked like new. I even inspected underneath the mower and the blades.
The batteries and charger were all in their separate boxes, and looked brand new. I verified they were all 10ah but didn't test them in any way. Long story short, I told the manager that it was acceptable and he knocked off 10% for the damaged grips. All in, I paid $1799. Obviously, I have no idea what condition the battery cells are in, but the batteries themselves looked brand new.
Upon delivery tomorrow, I'll let the batteries warm up a bit, put them on the charger, and hope for the best.

Mower was delivered Saturday. Batteries (all 10ah) were non-sequential serial numbers and random production dates. Charger was NIB. Batteries had enough charge to drive mower in to garage from Lowes truck. Connected charger and would only charge batteries to 30% before 3 red lights on charger and charger shutdown. Connected to mower through app and 3 batteries showed 10% and one showed 100%. Button press and hold on the 10% batteries gave flashing red/green.

Called Ego customer service today and after a couple minutes of back and forth am being sent 3 new batteries. Asked about warranty on replacement batteries and was told they would be warrantied for the remainder of the 5 year original warranty from date of purchase.

I was in a Lowe's in NJ last week and and I saw one on the floor, marked $1999. There were also several snowblowers marked 40% off.

What are the date codes you guys are seeing. I went to pick up mine and batteries were missing. All they could find was the "displays" model batteries, and they were dec 2021.

Mine arrived a week ago last Monday
Batteries were at 10%
Charged up to 100% in 2 hours and held at 100% even in this 15 degree weather.
When mine arrived one of the b to ack rubber on the handles was damaged a little and very minor dent in a fender.
Called up Lowes customer service and they offered 10% for damage.Told them I would like a little more.
So they said they would expedite and have store mgr. call me....in 30 minutes mgr called me and we worked deal
$1650 was my new price....$1800 out the door.
