Why would you thumb down a deal that clearly says YMMV? Such behavior discourages others from posting items that may be available for some and not for others. Unless of course, you feel $1,999 isn't a good price for a $5,499 item, for those that can find it.

Bought 5 of them for my business all 5 broken with 6 months and no repair shop local that works on them which a waste of money I ended up buying Toro z turn replacements that have good customer service

It's slick cause of the price compared to what it normally sells for, not because of how it compares in your mind to another product

Thanks for the details not sure why I watched the entire video I don't even have the mower 😀
Either way how long do you have it for?
I picked it up on the 11th. Didn't mow with it until the 20th or so. Did some laps around my yard and such, charged it, etc. practice driving on turtle speed before rabbit.

Thanks.
I am just worried about the reviews..
First main concern is the Lowe's are sending display models which are kept under weather outside for up to 2 years.
Second and major concern the batteries are two years old too and losing power very quickly so they are coming from 100% to 50% within half an hour as per some reviews.
What's the return period?

Normally 3 days apparently. They lost the 10ah so I was lucky enough to get 12ah instead. They were new in box.

And yeah display models all around. But unless you see obvious rodent damage or tears in the seat I think you'll be OK. Talk them into giving you the extended protection for free if there's anything egregious.

Here's my take....delivered on Jan 13th
Batteries were at 10% charge
Full charge after 2 hour charge.
It has been outside since covered with 2 tarps
Batteries still at 100%.

Mine just got delivered today. The driver was telling to look it over before he unloaded it. Told me they're so cheap because they have to clear our their old stock before they could order the new models. The three the had had been sitting for a year or two. Overall it did look good outside for the faded colors and rust on the handles. Mine came with 4 12AH batteries, clearly not newer than the mower, box had serious water damage and the two batteries in the bottom of the box have some mold on the casing. The batteries are dated Oct 2022. Unfortunately, it's below freezing so I couldn't charge up the batteries and see how it all works, and since I have about 6 inches of snow still on my yard, nothing to mow. I am so glad I bought the extended warranty in case this thing isn't fully functional.
And since I figured I wouldn't be able to get this thing to my shed out back I bought the cover and as others have mentioned, this cover is no cheap harbor freight tarp, it's a nice thick cover that feels like it'll hold up a good while. Don't feel completely ripped off paying $80 for it.

Where did you get the tarp? I didn't get the extended warranty since I read that Lowes wouldn't cover battery for extended warranty only $100.

while this is absolutely correct, unfortunately the real trouble maker and unfortunately the most expensive part is the battery. large bat packs like this can be a disaster if not very well designed. from what I saw in the review, ego probably have some quick dirty bms design that can easily cause battery unbalance and then kill some cells, and that will ruin the expensive battery pack within a couple yeats.technically the issue can be fixed, but you need very knowledgeable electricians and many hours, maybe $500 per battery repair Wink
I switched over my trimmer and leaf blower to EGO a few years back. Both batteries failed within a year, and even the 'new' batteries that were sent were noticeably fading after a year of use.

I sold them and switched back to gas, for now.

I stored mine in an air conditioned garage, and I charged after they had cooled down. I'm familiar with NCA batteries.

I've debated this for 2 week and decided to pass. Great deal if you don't have a zero turn. These are stored uncovered at alot of stores fwiw and below is what you can expect to be delivered.

Agreed. Regardless of how good they are, it's hard for most home owners to justify a $5600 lawn mower. $2k for a quality zero turn mower and a whole set of batteries to use on my other Ego tools made this a no brainer for me. I already have a 46" Craftsman gas ZT which I've only had for three years. It's a great mower for a gas mower but it comes with all the noise and hassles of maintaining a gas mower (oil, gas, filter, belts, etc.). When spring arrives I'll sell the Craftsman and should get at least $1500 for it. Lowes still sells the Craftsman mower for $3300, new.

Keep an eye out at Lowe's and Home Depot for craftsman/toro gas zero turns. I got my toro timemaster 42inch zero turn for $1700 because they "lost the key". Purchased a $3 key on Amazon and it started right up!

Just picked one up for $965.25 after military discount. It was marked down to $1399 due to missing batteries. Got them to drop it down to $999 by asking nicely. They found one battery when getting the charger and gave it to me without a fuss.

Mine was suppose to be delivered today. Got a call from lowes there was an issue. Guy said one of the tires busted. Said I could wait on a replacement tire or request a new mower. I asked the condition of the mower minus the tire and he said it looked like it sat outside for 2 years. Said he recommend ordering a new one. Said it's still in their system so should be able to get one. Fingers crossed I can get a crated one
Most have been sitting this is condition at my local store. Just called and customer service was iffy on if they can guarantee they would ship a display unit. Below is what's displayed at my local store. I'd pass if I received this as if nothing else I'd fear electronics were compromised
