If I didn't already have a spare set of these in my storage room, I'd scoop these up. I have some on my back deck (have had them out there for years -- under an overhang) and they've held up well to the weather. Great for listening to tunes when the weather is comfy enough to eat outside.

Got a pair of these last summer for $150. These are great speakers for the price.

The experience has been fantastic. My setup:
Connected these speakers to an old audio receiver.
Connected a WiFi audio streamer to the audio receiver. Something like this: WiiM Mini AirPlay 2 Wireless Audio Streamer.
Both are connected to a smart plug.

Now I just go to the backyard and turn on the smart plug and start playing music. Didn't want to invest in a WiFi or BT receiver. I'm sure there are other ways, but very happy with the setup!! Highly recommend these speakers.

I picked up a 15 year old Onkyo 5.1 for garage music and use an Amazon echo input for a music source and have a bluetooth input setup so I can stream music from my phone. The receiver was $Free.95 on craigslist.

Same for me, I've had a pair for about 8 years now and they've been great.

So I bought these speakers. Yamaha typically makes good stuff but one stopped working right after setup. I had to fight like mad for Amazon to take them back because I had to have time to run the speaker wire.

I replaced them with the Atrium and haven't had any problems in three years. YMMV

The OWM3 is an indoor speaker. The atriums can be used indoor or outdoor. The Atriums have a lower bass extension. So it is more pleasing playing music outdoors. OWMs definitely need a subwoofer. They have a much higher low-cutoff frequency.

These aren't waterproof right? I cant put them in my flowerbeds I assume? Frown

edit: read some forums and apparently they froze some in a bucket of water then thawed it out and it still worked... tempting...

Just bought a pair. Anyone would be kind enough to suggest a cheap receiver or amplifier that can help me run these speakers with my phone via bluetooth?

I have the larger outdoor Yamahas and am quite happy with Fosi Audio BT20A as a cheap AF bt amp https://a.co/d/5KtapM9 which is currently on sale with Amazon coupon for $56. I put it in one of those green waterproof boxes (or you can make your own with any waterproof box and a small drill) in my case I added a cheap Google powered switch so I can turn it on or off with my voice/phone since it's in a sealed box so I don't want to open it often or leave it on. Decent Bluetooth range I'm able to feed it from inside the house.
