You could literally make these by slicing, baking and then dehydrating in the oven for the cost of a sweet potato. $23.99 is outrageous if that MSRP is accurate.

Well, this is about two pounds worth of dehydrated. How many pounds of sweet potatoes does that take, plus processing and packaging. Maybe 15 would be more fair MSRP but eh what can ya do

Our Costco has only had these once, but at least they seem to always carry the freeze dried beef liver now which our dog goes crazy for.

We feed our dogs sweet potatoes all of the time. We also source most of our own food. The MSRP of this is laughable.

I dehydrate treats for my dog. Chicken breasts usually yield a ratio of about 4:1 lbs. Sweet potatoes, which are much more dense, are about 2.5:1. Given the very low cost of sweet potatoes and fewer precautions required in pre and post food handling, the cost of dehydrated sweet potatoes, in general and not just this brand, is exorbitant when compared to their meat-based counterparts.
