Looks like you can use water or any solution for mop. I'm concerned whether you have to buy propriety replacement pads. The refill pads 10x3 count sell for $24, so $0.8 is higher than non vac pads but still not ridiculous.

Or looks like that $0.8 per pad price is promotional and even lower than third party pads. So it's possible that you will have to pay more than $1 for each pad in the future, based on third party pads price.

Bad for environment, just use a real mop. Sheet, just wet a dish towel and push it around with your shoe. Go full lazy and get robot mop with washable microfiber mophead if you really are lazy and dont want to hassle.

I have this and love it .. but I use some 3rd party refills made for it . Comes with 6 washable pads and the piece to hold the dirt which can be emptied out . So you don't have to constantly buy their refills
