My experience. It is "technically" washable but will break most machines with the water it will retain. You would be better off washing by hand an

These are honestly not bad. We had a couple of ones similar to this one for our kids rooms (but round) and they washed well and dried fine too. The backing doesn't retain water

Yep! Washing machine! I checked my Amazon history and the one we had was 4x4 round

I will edit to say vacuuming them is tough because the vacuum tries to suck up the whole rug. But our roborock vacuumed them fine!
