As much as I hate the preachiness of the salt nazis on SD, they aren't wrong. Americans eat too much salt. I had no idea how much we were consuming until my SO was told to go on a low sodium diet and we started tracking it. It's eye opening to see how much salt is in some foods, especially eating out. Now we eat differently and still sometimes fail. Thankfully (for me), I don't have to cut out as much as her, so I can still have a V8 and be okay. But everyone should be aware of what they are putting in their body.

Always the 'original' V8 on sale. When will they put the spicy variety on sale again?

I think this is a better price than Costco. I cannot remember what I paid at Costco last time.

It's been over 4 hours. I'm disappointed they have posted yet. Figured they had an alert set just so they could come in and post that we are all going to die drinking this much salt.

I've seen that before but I ordered this 3 days ago and now the coupon is gone. I still see it in my SO's account.

What is the 'natural flavoring' ingredient? Why not state it outright instead of hiding it behind that label?

You made me check the nutrition label. Holy crap
That does have a lot of sodium. It is definitely something to consider if your other diet has considerable amounts of sodium as well

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank romanstnt

My question is: Why does it have to taste so salty? Would the saltiness mask an otherwise nasty sludge of a drink? (I like drinking a V8 now and then, btw.)
