That doesn't mean you get the given specs at a much higher price. You can get X-elite from some brands at this price. The only exception is if you really require a 3:2 aspect ratio.
One of the links is also from BB which was coupled with a keyboard and was on sale twice. I'm sure it would return soon.
The given specs/device should be $799 or lower, not more.
Your reaction is interesting considering you post more Surface deals than anyone else on Slickdeals.

How is it interesting, and me "posting more surface deals" remotely relevant to what I'm saying?
Each surface deal I've posted has been either the same price of a previous FP deal or lower. You can check.
A few dollars more wouldn't make a difference, maybe, but a $80 higher price tag for an X-Plus processor doesn't make sense to me.
Like I said before, most people don't have access to Microcenter. Or maybe they missed the other deals, so they can get this one. Just because it isn't the cheapest deal ever posted, doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad deal.

Precisely this. 28 Microcenter stores for the entire country vs everyone has access to Amazon and over 1100 BestBuy stores. I don't vote up a single MC deal because they don't ship and I'm not driving 200 miles round trip to save a few dollars. (not to mention both Amazon and BB have great return policies and I can get it same or next day with little to no effort).
I don't understand why the Doc doesn't see this?
Now I'm just waiting for all the Snapdragon haters to start trolling this deal.

True, but those deals already expired. With Amazon prime card, you get 5% back, plus the 4 years protection insurance on Amazon is much cheaper than Best Buy and Microsoft Store.
FWIW, Best Buy does price match Microcenter (EDIT: if you do so online) so you can take advantage of it even if you don't live near one. If you need a Surface today, it's an ok deal, but you can do better.

The Best Buy stores in Washington state won't price match Microcenter.
I've tried many times. They tell me no because the closest Microcenter is two states away.
If you try it again and they give you that excuse, you might mention that Microcenter IS on the list of qualified competitors and NOWHERE in the Price Match Guarantee does it say anything about the qualified competitor needing to have a local presence. They're BS'ing you.
Now, in the past, before MC was on the qualified list, BB would use the "not local" excuse, but now that they are on the list, there are zero reasons they can deny you based on that.

This same model was available in all 4 colors, in stock at all MC stores, for $799: https://slickdeals.net/f/17891346-microsoft-surface-pro-11th-gen-13-2-in-1-laptop-snapdragon-x-plus-16gb-ram-512gb-ssd-wi-fi-7-w-free-in-store-pickup-micro-center-799?attrsrc=Thr
Even currently it's $10 lower than this listing.
And twice, for only $20 more this was available along with a keyboard: https://slickdeals.net/f/18012996-microsoft-surface-pro-11-w-keyboard-13-2880x1920-touch-snapdragon-x-plus-16gb-ram-900-free-shipping?attrsr
