I got in on the 1st deal, back in October, where it was $720 with the eBay coupon. There is a 67 page (currently) on the DIY Solar forum https://diysolarforum.com/threads...ery.92299/ . The initial version of this battery has issues with the BMS settings, among other things, CAN communication cable was missing. If you use the right software tools settings can be adjusted.

There is an Eco-Worthy representative that is active on the thread. EW listened to the comments of forum members and made improvements in the version listed here. They have also made good - at least to me and several others that had issues on 1st gen of the battery, with a new BMS to change out with the one in the original, if you are capable of making the change. I would note that the terminals are reversed orientation of most other server rack batteries.

"10-Year Warranty: Featuring rigorously tested, high-consistency A-grade cells for extended lifespan."

is this something we can just believe at face value? or should we look for a teardown video

Talk about dirt cheap. Wonder what kind of prismatic cells these are? Grade A or B cells?

A really good price if they indeed did fix all the bugs. Would love to see a tear down on this to see the actual build quality. It really comes down to do I get one giant battery RUiXU 16kWh battery for $3400 to keep things nice and simple with amazing build quality (but heavy as hell I forget 300 or 400lbs), or do I get 4 of these for 20kWH $3280 but then also need a rack. Just a FYI time is running short, if its not made in the USA prices on things will be rising shortly so decisions have to be made quickly.

Perhaps the eBay deal beginning today is better.

Thread mentioned above has quite a few pics wrt build quality, imo is above average. The V2 BMS appears to have resolved most initial concerns, but the replacement for V1 to user-swap in a V2 board has hiccups related to balance cable configuration. That can be bypassed by ensuring these are V2 units being sold.

Is this meant to be for Solar or used w. something else? There aren't standard household electric outlets, right?

Also - can this go in a standard 19" rack?

Sure can. I have a V1 & a V2 in a rack with 2 other batteries.

You'd use this with 48v inverters/chargers or a 48v solar all-in-one if you want household style power. Look up Will Prowse on youtube, he has some tutorial videos on beginner setups. 48v and 12v systems are popular, make sure to get the right equipment if you get one or more of these batteries.
