If price is a concern, look at the regular iPad 9th gen. I've seen those go on sale frequently for $200. It's not as flashy as a mini, but it's honestly a super strong performer at that price point -- even being slightly older at this point in time.

Update:
Received the item today. The box has a lot of stickers as Open Box, and somewhat beat up. The mini looks brand new and the battery has Cycle 1 and was first activated in Dec 2024. So overall pretty happy with the Open Box.
I think for the time it's not going to get much cheaper.
