No, I love 16:10 screens, I refuse to buy a 16:9 screen on laptops.

I am also fine with FHD+ on IPS screens, but on OLED the text is fuzzy. Some people claim it is only on touchscreens, but I have seen it on non touchscreens. I don't see it on 3k screens (touch or non-touch). Otherwise I am not a resolution snob like some people.

Go check it out for yourself and you decide.
I bought this from the previous deal. It actually plays Cyberpunk 2077 at 38 FPS at medium preset, so I'm pretty impressed a thin and light laptop, that can charge from a USB-C battery pack, with integrated graphics can pull this off.

226V (this one) and 256V CPU is 16GB RAM and the 228V/258V are 32GB (and rarely on sale).

Gotcha, is the ram at a Mac level for this? Like is 16 sufficient for future proofing at least 5ish years? I was doing 8gb with my old i7 Lenovo ultrabook since 2018 and it's served me well, but I do need something that'll last week for occasional gaming and mostly productivity work. Have separate work mbp so it's not an issue

In my opinion, 16GB RAM is plenty for general use and light gaming (I don't game so that does not generally factor into my own decisions), but if you're not in a hurry, keep an eye out (set a deal alert) for a ThinkPad P14s. Great, well-built laptop that will generally have 32GB or 64GB laptops go on sale for super cheap.

https://www.lenovo.com/us/outletu...1mex001us?

Last month, Lenovo had P14s model with OLED and 64GB RAM for $830:

Those are the best deal if you need or want more RAM.

EDIT: just checked that last OLED/64GB deal and on ebay, they are STILL available, but at $925. That is still a STEAL for that config.

I'd like to hook up this laptop to three -27 in monitors . Any advice on what to get to do so? And can this machine handle such output? This is not for gaming , just to run Think or Swim . Thanks

Depends on the displays. Three 27" 1440p 60Hz displays is no problem and there are many USB-C docks that support 3 monitors. There are also monitors that support MST that allow you to use one cable from PC to Monitor #1 then daisy chain to monitor #2 and #3 (in other words, the monitors have DisplayPort IN and OUT ports).

I received mine. The top lid where you open the laptop has a small gap between the lid and the keyboard deck. Seems like the top lid is bowed out which is causing the gap. Anyone notice the same? Contemplating if I should exchange it but don't want to waste my time if all of them are like this.

Same here, I do see the gap between the center of the top lid and the bottom when its closed. I got a Best Buy Open Box Excellent. That, and the fingerprints are my only complaints so far.

I'm a huge fan of the all-day/next-day battery life... I'm definitely getting double digit hours of use out of this, and coming from Windows laptops with only 2-5 hrs it's a huge quality of life improvement. So far I'm extremely happy with the machine for the price paid.

same, besides those nits and the screen not being 90/120 hz I think I can deal with it for a few years rather than paying ~400 more for something with those specs. just not sure and cant pull the trigger yet

I dropped $750 on the HP Dragonfly G4 with an i7, 32GB, and 1TB SSD from Woot ... I should have considered this or even the ZenBook 14. 😅

It's a great buy. I bought one for my wife, who's doing her master's degree. She likes the screen, especially the brightness of OLED. Hopefully, this will convince her to buy the LG G4 or C4 😆. It's very lightweight, has good speakers, and the battery life is awesome—7 hours!
