This brand is awful. Everytime I buy Sun-Maid the raisins are dried up and gritty. They never taste fresh. By contrast, private label store brands always have consistently soft plump raisins. I even tried Sun-Maid organic and it was gritty and tasteless.

Bought this exact canister a month ago and I can confirm this comment is accurate. Great value raisins are far better quality than these.

I think I noticed the same comp'd to Harris Teeter's house brand.

Weird, isn't it? It's as if Sun-Maid is the dumping ground for the rejected raisins that fail to meet the quality standards used by other brands. Decades ago Sun-Maid raisins were of much higher quality. Something definitely changed.

yep, costco organic sunmaid not good as well.... will stop using this brand, plus most had stems attached as well.

Never been a raisin person but I liked them in my Power Up protein trail mix and decided to order from this brand last week. Definitely not a fan of the flavor in comparison and would not order again.
