I'm tempted, curious if there's anything better at this price with similar specs?

HP Victus 15-fa1005nr is on sale for 649.99 at MC. Has more cores and an SD card reader; was gonna get that before I saw this. With the Victus looks like you get a free game. I think I'm getting this because of the DDR5 ram and cheaper sale price.

The victus is lacking a second unused slot for the SSD. The Loq has one. If you are going to use more storage for gaming I would definitely opt to put in an SSD rather than an SD card.

HP Screen is the Biggest Dog 💩 250 nits beside the Asus TUF A15 Ryzen 5 and RTX 4060 (140w) is only $699 so about $50 more and way better performance and better Screen down side is only 512Gb storage but a second m.2 available

Do not get a 4050 graphics card, there is a huge difference between the 4050 and the 4060. after that the next big jump is to the 4080.
Sure, find us one for $599.

Good specs + color accurate screen for the price. Thenonly argument against this is waiting next month for the nvidia 5000 series for 4x more fake frames per seconds

Good advice for most people, but I require discreet, password protected, easily swappable storage. USB drives are ok for this, but SD cards tend to not extend out of the body of the machine. All I'm saying is SD card slots are hard to find in a gaming PC and might be a feature that drives a decision.

It should be more than good enough to play at 1080p, and probably 1440p with some settings turned down. Even with the graphical upgrades, WoW can generally still run on a potato if you turn enough settings down.

Well, I had a ZenBook with a GeForce card and it sucked playing on it.

Unfortunate. The HP Victus 16-r0073cl used to go for $650 with much better specs

Not for demanding games. If you're playing Minecraft, Factorio, Tin Can, Enviro-Bear 2000, and Job Simulator, sure.

True. But we're probably not going to see RTX 5000 series laptops (new) at the $600 price point for a year or more.
