There is so much bad and misleading information in this thread, so let me try to explain what is going on.
VUDU/Fandango at Home like Apple offer "free" 4K upgrades for movies previously purchased. In essence, they serve the best available resolution as a courtesy because nobody wants to purchase the same title over again just to get 4K. However, this sale and any other purchases done in HD or HDX resolution are reported to Movies Anywhere as such. So if you watch your movie collection in the Movies Anywhere app, you will only be served that resolution.
The reason VUDU/Fandango at Home purchases are "showing up" as 4K in Apple is because the iOS app lists the best available resolution. Movies purchased outside of an Apple platform in HD will not receive an Apple TV 4K upgrade and will remain in HD. Fandango does offer random complimentary upgrades from HD to 4K, but those upgrades do not port to Movies Anywhere or any affiliated platforms.
Also, I mod alerted the OP to get an asterisk put next to Ryan's Daughter [fandango.com]. This old flick is NOT Movies Anywhere compatible despite being a Warner Brothers title. The vast majority of Warner titles are MA compatible, but this is one of the few exceptions it would appear.

I was honestly considering picking up Harry Potter movies when I saw they were on the list. Rented the first one a while back, kids loved it. They wont complain about HDX vs 4K.
I'm seeing 4 and 7 part 1. No others. I'm sure there might be some sort of licensing or something behind this but I look at it and just walk away confused.
