I understand, but we don't really have another deal thread that it works for something like this. We have a PSA forum but I don't believe (and I may be wrong) that that will set off deal alerts if someone posts there. Please downvote the deal if you don't like this or any others I may post - I'm always trying to be helpful though Smilie

Went with Best Buy. Saw it in stock last week and let the 10 minute cart reservation run out twice while I couldn't decide. Going for it.
I have previously been a victim of the "hair tie scam" with Amazon, bought a Cooler Master power supply, shipped and sold by Amazon, received a tiny envelope with an elastic hair tie in it. They fought the refund every step of the way, told me to send the item back, told me I didn't send the correct item back (obviously I couldn't), I filed multiple appeals, eventually I got so frustrated I decided I needed to let it go, but looking at my statements I'm pretty sure they never refunded me. Can't bring myself to buy anything expensive from Amazon anymore. I guess even with Best Buy there have been a few forum posts lately online where if people had the item shipped to home they are getting boxes that were ripped open and the CPU was gone. Did store pick up at BB.

If you purchase through Amazon, you can try to get a faster delivery date after you make the purchase. You go into your order and change your payment or address and then change it back.

I just tried doing this but there's no method for changing payment method or address within the order summary itself. Are you sure this still works?

Edit: It seems this method wasn't possible when accessing the Amazon site from the browser on my desktop computer. However, I tried doing this in the Amazon app on iOS and can confirm that I was able to change my payment method and that it did indeed update my shipping address. I went from an estimated delivery window in March to the last week of January or first week of February as a result. YMMV
