FYI: These are great loungewear for around the house or maybe working out, but the fit showcases your man-bulge a little more than desired. Definitely NSFW.

I have a bunch of clothes of different materials: clothes from heritage brands like Filson for instance, and I appreciate all those fibers and the clothes are amazing. But not all plastic fabrics are created the same. You clearly haven't actually worn a pair of these or you wouldn't be saying what you're saying. Just stick to talking about what you know instead of railing on something you just think it's bad because it's "plastic".

Yeah, don't understand how people pay for this. They are $50 sweatpants. That's it, you can find cheaper and better
i recommend you trying these buttery soft sweatpants. I used to wear regular adidas sweatpants thinking they were comfortable but compared to the high end of vuori or lululemon it was like wearing sandpaper.

What a dumb comment.
Quality and synthetic clothing don't belong even in the same sentence.
I'm not sure why people are obsessed with cotton pants. What a weird hill to die on.

This is a very ignorant comment. Polyester is made from oil based plastics which are terrible for the environment. Furthermore, the clothing industry has a huge negative impact on the environment. Just because you have worn heritage brands doesn't change the fact that polyester is plastic and plastic is bad for the environment.
Do you know how much water is used for cotton. Take a look at the Aral "sea"

I asked Google:
Is polyester bad for the environment - Yes, polyester is considered bad for the environment due to its production process which requires a lot of energy and releases harmful chemicals, and because it sheds microplastic fibers during washing that can pollute waterways and harm marine life

Is cotton bad for the environment - Yes, conventionally grown cotton is considered bad for the environment due to its high water usage, pesticide reliance, and contribution to soil degradation, making it one of the most environmentally impactful crops.

I can't just go running like a nude dude so I flipped a coin and grabbed a pair of these.

There's a difference between scrutinizing and just being a hater.

Macbooks are cheap af. $2k for a product that lasts you 5 years of daily usage is considered a bargain to me.

If you can't afford it, go cry about it to someone.
Friend, you're on a deals website calling people poor for not wanting to buy sweatpants made out of old clothes and recycled trash bags for $50. Get some perspective. No one is sorry you over pay for low quality products like MacBooks and Lululemon sweatpants but that's what you're doing and you are claiming other people are pointing out that these pants are made of plastic because they can't afford them. You understand how silly that sounds to everyone else?

buddy, you're here arguing about what people want to spend their money on.

if you don't like it, go somewhere else.

always something with you people who think you know better.

yeah, I have a macbook because it's worth it for me.

And you probably have a $500 windows laptop because it's in your budget.

go away already.

Can't afford it or it's too overpriced for you, try craigslist.

Let's use some basic thought here. These are $100 sweatpants so you must be on a deals site buying them for $50 because you're poor and can't afford them.
That's the only possibility it couldn't be that you'd rather pay $50 than $100 for them, just that you're so poor you can't afford to support the company you love at full price. Their stock dropped by half because you're not paying $100 dollars for these.

I wouldn't buy them because Lululemon has been receiving massive amounts of complaints for their product quality going downhill for 2+ years now. They turned into a fast fashion brand a long time ago which pissed off a ton of their regular customers and tanked their stock which is just now beginning to recover due to how much cheaper it is for them to pump out low quality fast fashion products. Enjoy thinking everyone who criticizes things you like is poor though I'm sure that works out really well for you.

You're right of course in a sense, but Shein and other fast fashion brand's poly stuff is 10,000% worse than this. At least with lulu it's something that will last you many years and won't go in the garbage 3 weeks after you buy it. I have a few lulu products that I've had for like six years in as good shape as the day I bought them. Single use/limited use plastics are way, way more negatively impactful than many of the long term use plastic products we develop.

Also, according to their site, much of their materials are recycled (take that with a grain of salt, obviously). Many other companies like Patagonia are reliably sourcing excellent garments from recycled plastics.

Polyester.
At least 75% of the polyester we source will be recycled content (with a stretch goal of 100percent) by 2025.

From here:https://shop.lululemon.com/story/...ainability

So, plastics are bad, but I think you're not considering some aspects that make them less bad.

It's easier to just be critical of things like this instead of meaningfully engaging in a conversion, huh?

When was the last time Internet strangers changed someone's mind? It's like religion and politics. Not going to happen. People have so much energy.
