Just got mine today, it's SO underrated! Inset & milled liners so it's thin and light, multi row bearings, nitro V is never found this cheap either. Crazy good value! reminds me of Bryon brown Civivi Exone

How could this possibly get a down vote? lol get a life person.

Is this good as a survival / camping knife? (For a beginner)

It's a stainless steel with balances toughness and edge retention. But for camping I would emphasize a fixed blade more-so, so you can baton wood, etc. Look into Morakniv, they're very affordable and reputable.

I agree, you cannot go wrong with Marakniv knives.

Survival knife: Try getting a full tang fixed blade.

Camping: Half tang like a Mora Companion is fine for making kindling or and ok for food prep. I also use the folder in my Leatherman Skeletool for food prep. Mora's are cheap too so that's always a plus.

If one knife overall for both: Try getting a full tang beefy. Great for kindling and even batoning wood but I rather use a larger knife and/or a hatchet. Beefy knives people typically recommend suck for food prep and finer tasks imo.

I use fixed/half tang and folding for different purposes.

Just my opinion, not right or wrong.

As a city slicker, this is the perfect blade shape to open boxes and jiffy packs dropped off by the UPS guy. The blade shape is like a very beefy razor knife with the blade tip a bit below the centerline which is just right for slicing and dicing boxes. Thanks OP. repped!

Is the coupon (for the carbon fiber handle) still viable for anyone? Doesn't show up for me and I don't think I've ever used a Kizer coupon.
