Exactly. At some point, hopefully people will wake up to the disgusting poison in our food. There's absolutely no reason for palm oil to be in peanut butter.
And added sugar

Palm oil isn't poison, it's actually fine for you. Added sugar, on the other hand, is actually poison.

The math works out almost exactly the same for this compared to Sam's Club for the normal Jiff Peanut Butter.

They're only offering $2 off, but...

$9 / 96 ounces = 9.375 cents per ounce.
$18 / 192 ounces = 9.375 cents per ounce.

https://www.samsclub.com/p/jif-cr...-pk/156788

The difference here is that the palm oil is replaced with soybean/canola, and there's more salt, and you're getting it in 2 containers of 48 ounces instead of 12 containers of 16 ounces. Also, I'm guessing the expiration date will be better.

The default taste might be better too - but tastes and dietary needs are different. Plus, you can always add salt later.

Edit. Oh, weird. The normal Jiff actually has less sugar, and the same 'added' sugar. Well, 'natural' don't mean healthier so, that's cromulent.

Huh. I never even noticed that the Natural was low sodium. I just like the taste compared to others. To me, it's more roasty. 🤤

I don't see the $7.25 coupon. Deal dead maybe.

Edit: I was able to access the coupon through the link in the wiki in this thread.

Might be better just to source shelled dried peanuts en bulk and blend them yourself if you REALLY want no extra ingredients. Chuck 'em in to a food processor (too think for a blender), then into a mason jar. You'll likely still need a bit of extra oil of your choice to prevent it from being gritty. At some point before eating, you'll also likely want a bit of salt to bring out the flavor. Sprinkling it on just before eating is fine, though you'll end up with bland spots that way.

And get a nut butter stirrer. They look like an extra-thick-guage wire hanger, but bent into something that will fit into a peanut jar. They come with a thing that looks like a credit card with a hole in it, but is used to scrape the wire down after use. It'll save you a lot of time if you're using whole nuts like that, since the oil tends to separate really quickly on its own, then you end up with sort of clay on the bottom, and oil on top, which is what the stirrer is good at working back together without spilling oil everywhere like a knife would do.

Just know this is NOT likely a way to save money. Even in bulk, you're going to pay more per lb than any of these peanut butters.

It's just a lot more convenient for shipping logistics to sell the peanut butter than truckloads of peanuts.

That's why I go into slickdeals looking for peanut butter rather than trying to manage a supply of peanuts.

Oh, and coupon still shows for me. Deal is still live.

It's just that it's likely a lot of folks have used their 25% off offer already on another S&S deal on Amazon.
