I bought this identical unit last year. The food came out tasting like burned plastic every time I used it. I would avoid this junk.

Deceptive as hell.

The outside is stainless steel, who gives a shit.

The inside is made up of known carcinogenic non stick materials. Avoid if you care about your health.

Not just ants, but grasshoppers, crickets, mealworms, and beetles come out nice and crispy. Seriously though, I have a 4 quart Ninja and while it is restrictive, it's sufficiently big for a basket of fries, a dozen mozzarella sticks, and even a large steak.

was tempted until i saw flaking of the non stick material from a 4 star reviewer(1month ownership)
anyone who has this how is the nonstick holding up?
Thinking maybe they used metal utensils or something only saw one review complain about it so far(atleast with pics).

I bought this model a year ago. It's a good size if you're preparing food for a couple people. After washing the basket and tray and then doing the suggested initial empty 30 minute cooking, I've never had any issues with any type of plastic taste or teflon coating coming off. I use this a couple times a week. Great air fryer.

Have two of these very units in two homes. Use daily. Good inexpensive air fryer if you do not need something larger (we don't).

I also bought the analog (smaller) version a few years ago and upgraded last year. Honestly, I like that the new one is larger, but I dislike the new 'crisping tray'. It has rough metal edges on the bottom which makes it harder to clean. The electronic 'time' button doesn't seem to work, unless I set the temp first. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I never had any issues with the old analog version. It was just smaller and (theoretically) less precise when setting temp and time. Definitely worth $25 if you don't have an air fryer, but I think I might have waited to upgrade until I found a better one.
