Ok this looks like a great starter set. I have a basic Stanley set but honestly I'm really only doing oil changes myself… do I need this???

Yeah, they're great sets. I have the 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 sets and having full sets of 6 points with good ratchets is great.

Depends if your current sockets are 12 point. These are 6 point and are less likely to round out/strip your bolts.

This looks like a much better or at least more complete SAE and metric set, especially compared to the GEARWRENCH set that was recently for $50 at lowes. I got that one and was floored and disappointed with how it had a full SAE regular and deep socket selection, but Metric was missing a few important regular sockets such as 18mm and then the deep sockets only went up to 14mm. Like, why? I only wanted the SAE for oddball home projects where I would be using SAE bolt and nut sizes, but all my car repair is in metric. Ratchets were nice with a smooth ratchet movement and thin depth head for tighter spaces. Ended up returning.

This looks like a better set, but note that these socket set cases aren't the greatest if you plan on keeping this in a vertically stored position in a car or truck, sockets can easily move around with bumps and jostles so you'll be reorganizing it every time you open it.

I recommend just getting high quality sockets in the few sizes you use. These sets are often a waste as you usually won't be using the majority of them.

Mmm, I have a black color Stanley set, a chrome color Craftsman set, and I would definitely jump onto this set if the color is different...

This looks like a great set but it's sold on Woot so it gives me pause. I don't need another set but I love looking at what's available. Woot seems like it sells returns or rejects.

Solid price for inclusive kit with blow molded case. The stubby ratchet is a nice piece to have, most little kits will not come with one , and to buy separate is like $20-30.

Woot is the biggest downside on this deal. Their packaging is ass. But I ordered a set anyways since it's something I wanted but didn't need. They have usually been ok with refunding slightly due to mishandled/missing parts.

Have to assume anything coming from Woot is an uninspected Amazon return.

Just received mine. In prestine original packaging and completely unwrapped. Not missing any parts either.

Not mine. My box is all beat up, and it looks like it's probably been resealed. I don't even want to open it. I've already asked to return it. See the attached photos.
