The image quality and visual experience is absolutely phenomenal, but the UI is absolutely, positively the only reason I regret my purchase of this monitor. It tries to function too much as a TV with features you cannot shut off or it absolutely does not handle intelligently. I commend the screen but if you have little tolerance for hiccups (such as inputs switching between connections unexpectedly, multi-presses to alternate between devices, "smart set up" windows with devices every time you connect them I can go on) then I would advise you look at other brands with this panel. This is even after paying just under this sale price and I still wish I had held off. (I have eyes for Asus' KVM model.
Must resist, must resist, must resist - what do you say? It looks like a good deal..
Yeah not really that great of a price. The Alienware AW3423DWF which uses the exact same oled panel was on sale for $550 last month without any EDU or EPP discount. Plus shopping cash back and credit cash back offers dropped it to under $500 for many.

Plus the MSI MAG 321UP, a 32" 4k QD OLED 165hz, was also on sale for $665 just last month too.

One thing to check is what year the model number is for the monitor. I bought a g9 93sc last month and that's from 2023

Most definitely on 1 Ultrawide.
An Air is unable to plug into two monitors (unless you have a special "DisplayLink" dock to work on 2 monitors)

At 4K maybe, but not 1440p when you could get the 49" 1440p OLED for the same price when it goes on sale

yep, 1440p is probably ok for gaming, but when doing work its kind of blurry and you get a lot less vertical real state. its about 3-4inches shorter vertically than my 32" 4k monitor and about 3-4" wider but less pixels in width and height.

Been keeping an eye out for the 4k OLED monitor, although I hear the coating is good at reflections but makes things appear murky. this is probably bad for productivity use

If you're logged into an EDU/EPP account, price only shows once it's in your cart.

There are no 4k gaming ultrawides out yet. The only 4k ultrawide (or super-ultrawide) is the samsung 57".

Definitely the Alienware. Thing is a beauty. Beware AW34DW(F) is Freesync. The one without F is GSync capable and higher refresh rate (175Hz).

I recently purchased this monitor when it dropped below $500 around Christmas time. Same exact assessment as you, beautiful screen quality everything, but the software/UI is a steaming pile of crap. in the end I still stuck with this model over the Alienware because with the discount it was a good bit cheaper, and the Alienware can't support 10 bit color with full FPS due to the outdated DP/HDMI specs it uses, so this monitor is more future proof.
