Be forewarned that these do not support much weight. The plastic post begin to buckle and twist around the point that they connect to the top and bottom. For clothes or other light things, they will be fine, but don't expect to use in the garage, and am not even referring to heavy tools.

Can confirm this.

Sterlite has really cheapened these things out to the point where they can support very very little weight. I have a drawer set from the mid 2000's and a set from about 5 yrs.

The set from the 2000's has structural lines added into the plastic drawer bottom making the bottom rigid and reducing flexing/bowing. I have them filled with misc electronics equipment. No drawer bottom flex at all

The set from 5 yrs ago, the drawer bottoms all bowed and warped with minimal weight items, to the point where the drawer bottom hits the edge makes it difficult to even open and close the damn thing. I took a heat gun to re-warp the bow, took a while but at least it's usable. Now it's used just for lightweight clothing

Shame on Sterilite for turning a very useful product, into a piece of trash

100% can confirm! Purchased it for my garage 2 years ago and same thing happened as you described. Now I just use it for some small lightweight stuff only.

Stellar idea with the heat gun! I have some structures I set aside that are buckled and torn at the edges. Turns out they might have some hope 😅

I'm going to buy more Milwaukee Packout drawers and use them as storage instead.

Bought 3 of these. 2 arrived cracked and broken.

It's nice that they come really quickly from the local store. But they are just chucking them on my porch or bringing garbage. Now I have to go back to the store. Ugh.

I have two that I use to keep lightweight cellophane bags in. The side supports broke. They are literally held together with duct tape. :::smh::: now they're standing up but it's hard to get the drawers open. Luckily I don't use them that often.

Walmart charged me the full price, yet sent me a much smaller/narrower version. The version they sent me is 14x12x31. The dimensions on the item I was supposed to receive are 15x21x31.

Just be aware, if your Walmart workers suck, they might send you this item: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Steril...t/20699658 "Sterilite 5-Drawer Tower, Black"

Instead of the wider, better supposed-to-be item:

Might as well buy it and drop it off at the landfill because that is where it will end up after a short amount of use.

I've been looking for one of these in white and it's been out of stock or not available anywhere for what seems like forever. Just wanted to use it for kid craft supplies and paper. Sounds like maybe it wouldn't be able to hold even that from what people are saying. I'd still give it a shot if I could get my hands on one.
