This posted on Slickdeals back in 2011 for $11 for the complete DVD set. I had to buy it, watched a few episodes and never touched it since. I did the same damn thing with SEGA Genesis Mini Console and the complete set of the Little Rascals.

Always trying to re-live that childhood, but it's never the same.

Love this show so much. Got it on DVD back when it came with a cape and episodes of the Greatest American Heroine (ill concieved spin off).

It hasn't aged well, but it is still great. At the time, it didn't have a big budget for special effects because Culp and Seleca were most of the budget. Even then, you could clearly see he was lying on a table when he was "flying" and a HUGE amount of the comedy comes from William Katt amazing physical comedy at pulling off basically the aftermath of some offscreen "super skill" and then the fantastic chemistry of the cast.

That said, still a blast to watch. Not always for the same reasons. I sat my kids down years back to watch the pilot episode and they were rolling with laughter. Not because of the script, but at the special effects which my adult eyes can now see are just plain hilariously bad. He crashes through a wall and the "stone" visibly bounces like a rubber ball. The green screen edges around his "flying" are completely visible. Still loved it. It was meant to be a comedy, and if you can say that the aged special effects are part of the comedy (much like the original Beetlejuice), then you'll enjoy it.

Plus you're getting one of Mike Post's greatest hits, I think the only one of his that actually made it to #1 on the pop charts. Post had pretty much every memorable 1980's TV show theme. I used to have albums of them - they were that popular.

I'll just listen to the intro song, that's all I need for that nostalgic hit.

I did this with the magic school bus set. I watched half an episode and felt like it was just dragging on...

This is the same with me an CHiPs ... absolutely loved that show as a kid... now I rewatch it and the plot lines are more predictable and worse than a poorly run second rate wrestling promotion...

Though I can always say as a small child I lived literally a few blocks away from the highway where many of the scenes were filmed in Simi Valley

Either no one understood this reference, or they didn't think it was very clever. I suppose I could've over interpreted it as well. Either way, bravo!

Erin Grey, totally! The only reason to watch buck. And the little beedy beedy robot dude with the flavor flav necklace lol
The robot was voiced by the late great Mel Blanc. It was his 2nd to last original character (Heathcliff the Cat was his last).

The actor's real life mom played Della Street on Perry Mason.

He also took over the Paul Drake role on the Perry Mason movies.

Used to love it too, but every time you saw a bunch of junker vehicles on the freeway at the same time you knew an accident was going to happen.

That's where the more predictable that wwe comes into play. My young brain 40 years ago thought somehow never figured that out and was always shocked when they crashed

That has also been my experience when I try to watch shows from my childhood. Though the shows remain the same, my perspective has completely changed, and trying to recreate the feelings these shows have me is not going to happen. So although this was one of my favorite shows, I'm going to let it exist in my memories today.

I don't think we realized how good we had it with our limited options. I wonder what are the popular shows that kids of today will be able to collectively reminisce on 20 years from now. Though they have n+1 options to choose from, I don't envy them.
