I remember buying spinfisher vi combos last year from walmart for less than this when they were transitioning to VII's

I've got a couple of Battles. They're good reels, but I'm holding out for the Spinfisher due to how they're sealed up to prevent water intrusion, especially at this price. Seems I remember getting a Spinfisher last year for about this price, and a Battle combo for less than $100.

Would the spinfisher be good for crabbing at the beach? Currently have a 12' with a battle 8000
