Costco one is more likely made by a different company vs this one. I have this one from this company and it broke within a few uses. Costco versions of items are always higher quality vs no name companies

Helpful. These are all over Amazon and while I bought mine from Lidl, it looks identical and broke within 2 uses.

The Amazon product title says this is also a Mandoline slicer but that doesn't seem to be true:

PrepNaturals Vegetable Chopper with Container, Veggie Chopper, Food Chopper & Onion Chopper - Mandoline Slicer for Kitchen (4 in 1, White)

I got something similar from target for similar price. I think it was oxo brand. Works well for me when I make chili to chop bell peppers. Literally only reason I bought it. Think i will try this, like that it has different size grids

Disagree, I have the costco one but assuming all of these are just rebranded versions of the same thing. Saves me so much time prepping mirepoix/peppers for the week, pizza topping and making hashbrowns. Really easy to clean as well.

The only thing is you do need a bit of strength to operate it and you have to make sure you are doing one forceful push, if you try to push gradually or anything else it will NOT work, carrots especially, my wife doesn't use it for this reason lol. I am very rough with mine and it has lasted a year but I am not sure how quality amongst the rebrands vary

Do you have a link or a brand name for the costco one? I tried looking on their website unsuccessfully.

The brand is "MIU", unfortunately I think it was a limited time offering. The name brand ones are probably better than mine, the build quality honestly doesn't feel thee best. I know restaurant supply stores usually have fully stainless steel ones that look like science lab equipment but they are way more expensive. The Costco one was $10 on mark down

We have one similar and it works great - family loves it. Ordered this one, so I can gift to friends etc.

my wife bought one of these (different brand, same idea)

She seems to like it, but I hate it. Anything it can do, I can do nearly as quickly with some basic knife skills. Plus, the thing is annoying to clean and takes up quite a bit of space in our cabinet.
I was recently making some french fries and thought it might finally be the perfect application for it. nope. Potatoes are too hard, i was pressing so hard I was afraid something was going to break or that I'd somehow hurt myself and it just wouldn't go through. Used my knife instead and it took me 30 seconds and I wondered why I even bothered trying to use this dumb contraption.

Yes. But my wife dislikes the food processor cuz it would need cleaning after Big Grin ..so she goes chopping block and knife.

I need one that is fully stainless steel as I am very rough with mine and break them.

yeah good point. i've definitely avoided using the food processor because of how much of a PITA it is to put together, and take apart for cleaning. but i also dislike buying stuff to do some task that could be done by something i already have since it'll take up space
