I wonder if they just found them in the corner of the warehouse somewhere? New shipment batch from Philips.

Well, those of us who procrastinated on the last one appreciate it!

Have two light strips I'm going to use for TV backlights and needed these to make it easy to watch

Legit question for those that have this, but why did you decide to buy into a system that requires a bridge as well?

These can be used with or without bridge and as well used with another Zigbee network (such as Home Assistant or Hubitat)

How are these compared to the TP Link Kasa/Tapa? I've been on the TP Link ecosystem for a while now...

I have quite a few Kasa power strips which had some occasional connection failures over the years, but hue products are rock solid for last 9 years of my usage and I personally like hue system as it won't take up WiFi bands

Oh so the OP is wrong then? It states bridge is required.

At the time, Hue was the best. Still is IMO. I have a lot of Govee and Hue and the bridge is just a better system. Every Govee device individually connects to Wifi (and Bluetooth when you need to configure it). With Hue it's just a single bridge.

I haven't had many issues with either, but overall the Hue is just a better system, and other than the initial pair of the bridge, you don't even know it's there.

Note: my house is smaller but it's on my 2nd floor and I have a ton of lights in the basement with zero issues.

The bridge required part is in the product description, which the 2nd post is a copy of. However, it should be usable w/o a bridge, though less functionality when using it with zigbee lightlink

Oh the Zigbee!

These can be paired to other hubs, just need *A* hub to use: Home Assistant, Hubitat, Conbee Stick w/RPI, HUE, etc.
