About this title:
  • Planet Earth is perfect. It orbits at the perfect distance from the sun; it tilts at just the right angle; and it has a moon just large enough to hold it in place. On top of that, the day-to-day workings of the planet naturally serve to nurture its plants and animals. This five-part series will show how the forces of nature - weather, ocean currents, solar energy, and volcanoes - drive, shape, and support Earth's great diversity of life. But what happens when nature's epic forces are knocked off course? As human activity impacts Earth's perfectly balanced ecosystems, what can we do to protect the fragility of life on our unique and precious planet?

Yeah, but when David Attenborough says it, it sounds poetic.

I'll save you 3 hours and sum things up. Humans are terrible, we're killing the planet, without humans the would would be better, stop existing, here are some cool photos/video/CGI of animals that we are killing into extinction.

Standard price for this on amazon is around $25, so good deal, but not as good as the stated $50 price would imply.

It does have an environmentalist message but it's really brief and doesn't beat you over the head over it. This is a good deal and the sound and visuals are amazing. I bought it for $15.99 from Best Buy a few years ago and don't regret it.

Is this the series that puts you to sleep fast? Is the narrator the guy that sounds like a dunk Pooh?
Haha, I always think Pooh sounds like drunk David Attenborough.

I'm lying in bed thinking of pulling the trigger but fairly confident I already own it and much too lazy to get up and walk downstairs to see.

Long live Saturday night slickdealing.

Yea they've ruined nature documentaries, just shallow and preachy, adhd tiktok clips skipping around the "planet". They are all so uninspired they may as well be ai generated now.

Serious question: did you watch this or just making assumptions? I am just checking because I don't want to buy if you are serious but otherwise I'll consider the deal.

Is this one of those? Any recommendations on good documentaries that are well made and in depth and not too preachy but more fact knowledge oriented?
