My first was Firepro Wrestling S : 6 Man Scramble on the Sega Saturn. Ironically, it was an import, but they still had it for sale at an EB Games in the mall in Birmingham, Alabama.
Went over to gameFaqs website and printed off a 230+ page translation document. Used all my parents bubble jet printer ink.
Spent a lot of time with Firepro over the next decade or so, contributed a lot to community CAWs (no downloads, had to just type which number face, arm piece, etc and share online).
What a time to have experienced. This series will always hold an incredibly special place in my heart.
I know a lot of people really love this game. I finally tried it a while ago, but the timing based controls and overall gameplay just didn't feel right to me, so I requested a refund.
My "perfect" wrestling game is Wrestling Empire. But to each their own.

I personally like Day of Reckoning, but also found fire pro games a bit tedious to play.

Are the DLCs worth it? It looks like you can get a bundle of them for $12
It's $5.99 +$12.30. The dlc does not have base game bundled. I use be umph for this but I feel like they are resting on laurel leaves so I moved past it. Everything could be offered for less imo.
I remember playing the one of the JP imports on my mod-chipped PSX back in the 90s, felt pretty cool.

Yup, I got my Sega Saturn modded to play imported games back in the day, specifically just to play this game. Love it, but all the menu's (and there was tons of it) were in Japanese so I couldn't read any of it.. I've tried to play other Fire Pro Wrestling games but I could never get the timing for grappling right on the other ones..

Super Firepro 3 Easy Type was my first FPR. The music is still one of my favorites.

I worked at Sega as QA when this game was out. For lunch about 20 of us would play the full 6 man rumbles on a couple of setups. You can imagine how wild it was with such a big group. Most fun I've ever had playing games.

Literally did the same. Been hearing about it for years. Once my kicks weren't landing and I was stuck in a grapple like 6 times in a row, I knew it wasn't for me. I was looking for something more like the old 16 bit games. Glad people enjoy it though.
