That's not true. I once has an issue for some earbuds I bought and they were probably the most responsive and helpful customer service I've ever dealt with. As for Google Play cards, I've bought tons of them over the years and have never had any issue with buying or redeeming them. In fact, I find the redemption process probably the easiest of any gift card. It literally takes two clicks to redeem and add to your balance.

Have you tried to reach any Google customer service within the past year? Google has been systematically eliminating customer service. There is zero telephone based customer service and support.google.com has become a joke.

25 dollar gift card. Added, says it's 25 dollars click submit. Error comes up need more information. Click that a form comes up to fill out. Name images of the gift card and receipt and other account information sent. After days was told my account has inconsistencies and they can't do anything about me not being able to use this gift card. And to top that off they can't tell me what the inconsistencies are because of privacy....wtf??? This has been going on for a ong time and with tons of people. Look it up. DO NOT BUY PLAY STORE GIFT CARDS YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR MONEY.

Anyone know if you can use these to pay for a YouTube Premium renewal *before the renewal date* ? I haven't been able to figure out how to do this and I'm thinking they only can bill when it's due, not ahead of time.

Also, Google Play might charge your balance 24 hours before renewal (I see a case where balance got charged 48 hours before), so you might see your Google Play Balance immediately decreased if you change your payment method to Play Balance within 48 hours of renewal...

Thanks. It had been awhile but I remember now: you need to have at least the full price ($139.99) worth of Play gift cards loaded to apply to the annual YouTube Premium membership, otherwise it will not offer as a payment option.

Via Target Circle, I spent $143.25 (after 5% off), across three separate purchases. Received and applied the Google Play credit. Re-upped YouTube Premium.

So for $143.25, I received $150 of Play credit ($10.01 which is leftover to use now), and $15 total Target gift cards to be used later.

Sounds like user error of some sort to me. I've bought dozens of cards over the years with zero issues.
