I got one when they were on sale during Black Friday. These are so small, like each box measures about 8 x 6 in. The pictures in the listing are deceptive and makes it feel like they are standard size boxes with a lot of stuff in it. I returned and wouldn't recommend even as a gift purchase

2) I'm sure this is not high quality stuff, but for $3.33 each if you get an hour or 2 of something for kids to play with and maybe learn, it think it might be worth it. But who knows, well see.

Thought I'd add my 2 cents here for future reference. I bought both kits (8 products in total) and yesterday I assembled the solar system one with my daughters (7 and 9). These are definitely not worth the MSRP. I think the right price point for each box is about $5, I'd expect to find them at "5 Below" and similar discount stores.

My daughters had a blast assembling the solar system and painting the planets. However, I had to help because snapping some of these planets together was a b*tch. Instructions were very short and not super helpful, and some of the rods included were the same length even though the instructions said they would all be different length. Not a big deal but overall if felt like low quality / low quality assurance.

Some of the kits require multiple household items such as empty bottles, fruit, soil, plants, seeds/beans, etc. Just keep that in mind.

Overall this is still a decent deal at this price but I would never pay MSRP or anywhere close to it.
