I would buy with a credit card that has price match protection in case prices continue to drop.
BTW, I have same model and happy with it. Bought at 699 in 2023 Dec BB deal.

there is no gen3 epix, if you imply the epix pro (gen 2) is gen 3, the epix pro (gen2) is still not technically the fenix 8
