If you look at the description carefully, these cheap filters only filter for chlorine, odor, and taste. The original filters filter for lead and many other chemicals and impurities

The water filter is certified to NSF 372 for low lead compliance

All my appliances are SS. My newest one is SS dishwasher. It has drainage issue with some particular cycles. Called SS for repair like 10 times but hasn't got resolved yet. Just wish that they don't break and have to call them. Customer service is from third world country.
