Same price at sam's club and Costco though you get $10 in-product credit instead. Can be used towards e-file fee.
Amazon matched Costco deal for $64.99 for turbotax premium 2024 with $10 GC

For those who are interested in the TurboTax Business edition at $113.99 - Amazon just "matched" Costco and issued me a $10 Amazon credit for the purchase . . .

That's isn't showing the GC because it's in a separate order. You'll get charged for that when they ship it to you (it's a physical card)

That's crazy if it's indeed $40 but if you have a Chase card you probably have a Chase offer that will reduce that cost. If you got the "spend $39 to get $20 back" offer, that brings your effective cost to $20.
Yes "State" is for one state. It costs more to buy a second. Also costs to eFile in the first "included" state

Stamps, envelopes, paper, printer and toner are free?
Many states allow you to file directly on their dept of revenue website for free. I have used TT to complete the forms and then manually enter the data on my state's site in the past. No stamps, paper, trip to the post office and you get electronic confirmation that all is good.

List of states that do this: https://thefinancebuff.com/free-e...irect.html

I am a little confused.
The 36.99 version does not include state tax?
Not only can I not efile, but I can't download it either?
So I can only choose the 44.99 version?
I need two states. I live in Michigan and my child is in college in Massachusetts with very little internship income. So I need to file Massachusetts state tax at the same time.
Which version should I choose?
Thanks!

Yes, FreeTaxUSA allows you to import prior years from an Intuit or Block PDF.
BUT, you can't import from a brokerage account.

What's the reason for purchasing this vs just filing online?

The problem is when you have several stock trades to import from brokerages. Would you be able to automatically import stock transactions from brokerages into FreeTaxUSA? That's ONE of the reasons why people stick with TurboTax, imo.

Also, I used H&R Block before but they have a stupid limit of # of stock transactions and if you are an active trader with tons of trades to import, H&R Block crapped out and this was 2 years ago (2021). Then, I switched to TurboTax from 2022 and I can import any number of stock trades from different brokerages... no problem!

System is being weird but I think I got it. I followed the SD link and see it. But then it said "quantity of 1 is not available" but then later it worked. Weird. Im also ordering from the app on my phone and it won't let me pay without verifying my Prime Visa number which I don't have on me because I never carry it around so I had to add another CC
Glad I'm not going insane. Had the exact same problems, including having to reenter my Prime card number. I think that may a digital order requirement.

The way it worked last year was you had to use the same intuit account to authorize the install on each computer. So while you can do 5 returns on it, they have to be using the same intuit account.

Yeah it was annoying as fark because I'm sitting here away from home, without my Prime card, worried that this gift card duo will sell out, and it won't let me buy it. At least I was able to add my normal primary credit card that I had in my wallet. I don't carry around that Prime card that weighs half a pound haha

Thanks OP. Thought this was the year I was going to make the jump to Free Tax USA or H&R block bc no way I'm paying more than $55 for premier on principal. Especially with all the positive feedback I've read on both the other programs. But for $55 I'll stick with what I already know
Why wouldn't you just file for free?

I researched this yesterday, no imports from brokerage accounts.
