Let's not kid ourselves. Most of us here use these as toys. EDC, status symbol, or whatever... it's all the same. There's no doubt that they are meticulously crafted with the finest German workmanship and pixie dust. And even toys could be useful at times. But for this price, I suspect most of these are going to enjoy a sheltered life. The life of a pampered pet on a short leash.
That said... I'm also looking for a workhorse that would charge into battle with me and share my adventures. It may not enjoy the cachet of the KNIPEX brand, but it would nonetheless wear its scars proudly.
