Saving about $5 off what the pliers cost as an every day price, about the same as when you catch the mini pliers on sale. Luke warm deal.

Got mine from the first UK post. The box was banged up, which was expected. The ornament and tool were both ok.

The one I ordered from the original UK post is still yet to be shipped though it claims it will arrive by the end of the month. I'm debating canceling and going for this one though it claims to arrive a week later.

The peer pressure is great for some 4-inch $25 mini slip-joint pliers. So cute, and likely a very well-made, and dependable tool. But I already have something similar that has never failed me and only needed it a handful of times. Granted, mine only has 3 positions. People (the ones uneducated about this tool brand) would laugh at me telling them I paid so much for a toyish-looking tool. But I get the popularity.
I would love these as a gift.

I came here to find this message. Big Grin I'm in the same boat I love tools and 100% have way more than I need though I can't justify $25 just because I don't have this pair yet. If it drops under $20 I'll force myself to bring lunch to work 1 extra day to justify buying these. Big Grin

Go for it! I was in the same boat, and now I'm waiting for my second shipment...

Let's not kid ourselves. Most of us here use these as toys. EDC, status symbol, or whatever... it's all the same. There's no doubt that they are meticulously crafted with the finest German workmanship and pixie dust. And even toys could be useful at times. But for this price, I suspect most of these are going to enjoy a sheltered life. The life of a pampered pet on a short leash.

That said... I'm also looking for a workhorse that would charge into battle with me and share my adventures. It may not enjoy the cachet of the KNIPEX brand, but it would nonetheless wear its scars proudly.

I mean, the possibilities are indeed endless. Alas, my needs are alarmingly few, for this one.
