The main problem with the Extreme 3, as reported and compared by many, is the bass is disappointing for its size.

If you go JBL, then the Boombox 3 is where the marked improvement of size to sound to dollar is in their lineup

At $150 you're competing with much better sounding Chinese speakers, like the uBoom X at $120, which will blow it away, or the boombox from Tribit at $150.

Motionboom 2 Plus is out and even better. The first one is still really solid.
